Our Story
In 2018, I was driving tourists through Georgia as a guide. Every day I took visitors to some of the world's most extraordinary historical sites — ancient cathedrals, medieval fortresses, places where civilisations were born. And every day I watched the same thing happen: young tourists photographed the monument, looked at their phones, and moved on.
The story behind the place — the miracle, the battle, the love story that shaped it — was completely invisible to them.
At the same time I discovered VR and something clicked: what if the story could come alive right there, in the exact spot where it happened? Not in a warehouse across town. Not on a headset at home. Right there. Where it matters.
That question became Histar.
About HISTAR
What Makes Us Different
Every VR company we know separates the experience from the place. We put them back together.
Our competitors show you ancient Rome in a warehouse in Manchester. We show you ancient Tbilisi while you're standing in ancient Tbilisi. The difference is not technology — it is context. And context is everything.
Each Histar story is written exclusively for its location. It cannot exist anywhere else on earth. When you stand beside Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and experience a Georgian Jewish man bringing Christ's robe home from Jerusalem — you are not watching history. You are inside it.
